I purchased the UUMI Wood Fired Oven & will put a brief review on it.
I ordered the unit on Monday & it arrived Wednesday - Delivery by Australia Post. Quite reasonable.
The version I have is the UUMI 2 with a stone base.
On first looks - nice packaging & very easy to assemble. Actually only 3 screws on the unit (plus 4 to fit the two wooden handles).
The instructions are all image based & only the heat deflector had me puzzled & I'm still not sure if I have the right way up.
The stone just sits on the screws for the legs, so you'll have to take care in moving it around.
The chimney just clips onto the unit, so it is easy to remove.
The pellet chute is screwed in but it does stick that far up in the air & it has three height adjustments
The fire pit is a nice solid heavy unit.
The inner liner for the side & top is fixed into place by one of the pellet holder screws
The front cover has a lip that slots into the top so it sits flush & secure - neat idea.
All in all it looks very nice & has had a lot of thought put into the design - it all fits together nicely & you can see where they have taken the criticism from the first version & fixed it in the UUMI 2.
Ok - So On Wednesday put it together & then said bugger this test run!
Got some pellets & added some fire starter. Started nice & easy. Waited the 5 minutes suggested & added some more pellets.
About 10 - 15 minutes later had a raging fire going - heat was around 200 on the stone, more pellets & it even hotter.
Very impressed with fire & draft. With the door open the fire settled down & spread around, but with it closed you could hear it roar over the top & up the chimney.
Had heat flames extending 50 cm above the chimney, plus had a fire coming out the back - May have had too many pellets close to the back edge.
As expected the exterior gets very hot over 100C with a fire over 340C on the stone
Temp on the exterior top & temp inside aimed at the stone
So Thursday - since a work day - got a frozen pizza to trial.
Just as easy as the first run - got to play with the pellet loader & height adjustment
Maybe 15 - 20 minutes & put the pizza on. It will takes some time to get used to the fire rate & fuel use. It does go through the pellets!
All up - very happy with it & it heats up fast enough for week-day cooks
Cheers
