Aldi Salmon on a Board....Norwegian Salmon

Salmon on a plank is pretty good just by itself, that's how I used to do it until I went to BBQ school and i learnt to coat it with dijon mustard and brown sugar. It's even better that way (thanks Chris!)

I'd just follow the instructions and see how it turns out.
I think these things are for people with only a 4 burner BBQ to make it taste as if it's been cooked over charcoal or wood. With the options most of us on here have, I don't think they are worthwhile buying.
I haven't tried cedar planked salmon either, for the same reason.

Did this Aldi planked Salmon on the Weber GA.
Pretty much followed Steven Raichlen's Kippered Salmon recipe.
I used Buffalo Trace as my choice to brine the fish.
This turned out really tasty & very moist for what it was, and yes I would use this again given the chance.
Used the Steak Champ thermometer to give it another run.
Went for 65c mark and as you can see, once again this has proved to be spot on. -
#gourmetgalaxy, how much was it and how big was it.

Was 500gr for $14.00 a slab. Boards had been pre soaked.
I am hopefully getting a heads up next time they are available. -
Thanks Stewie
