Hi from Sydney

  • G'day all. Have progressed from partment renter to home owner with a backyard so getting set for BBQing. Wanting to get into smoking but not much space and will need something that can also grill, so will be lurking/posting about offset smoker area shortly..

  • Welcome to the great BBQ journey. Enjoy the ride.

  • Also worth checking out the recent arrival to the market: the gravity fed charcoal/wood bbqs like the Masterbuilt 800.

A bit more expensive to run for grilling and roasting, but I've found it hard to use anything else since getting one a few months ago.

  • Welcome to Sf&F,

Yeah many here cut their live fire teeth on the humble Weber Kettle, it can do all you're asking and won't break the bank at around $500 for a brand new one and they'll last a lifetime if you look after them, great value for money and great BBQs and you can get lots of accessories for them.
