I have no idea if the BBQ Galore Zigler and Brown is available over there. The twin burner mid sized would be perfect for the scenario you have of up to 6.

For the cooking you described (I don't know what a 'link' is though ), I wold humbly suggest something from the Weber Q line. They can hold a good temperature and don't use much gas.

Yes I second this and providing you don't want your steaks 'Blue' probably a Weber Q 2200 which will cook for up to 10 people. As Lovey states, they hold steady temps, very economical and easy to cook on, you just got to get used to the Weber Lid down high heat grilling. They are only a single Burner but will get to over 500F. The Larger Family Q 3200 has 2 Burners, also very economical and get's very hot. I think the Q3200 would be around the US $500 plus there's heaps of accessories for them like rotiseries. Even a 3 burner Weber Genesis may be less than $1,000 over there in the US. With warranties and service, Weber is very hard to go past.

Bentley, I think it could possibly be that the Spirit is manufactured in China to compete with many lower priced grills on the market and the Genesis is probably made in the USA. I'd go the Genesis at that price point. I'm also thinking of going with the 3 burner Genesis eventually when all the renovations are done.

I’m a Weber Q fan and have had one of each of the three sizes over the last 12 years . My current one is the larger family Q and my favourite An important thing with any Weber is the availability of replacement parts. My 9 year old Weber Q has had the grates replaced, a new set of knobs, and a new peso starter. The pezo starter and a small spacer from the handle I lost was sent to me from Weber for nothing.

My Weber kettle has had new sweep and new grates and new handles. 14 years old Again Weber just sent my the handles for nothing… thanks Weber. Whilst it’s great to get free stuff it’s great that Weber stand behind their products and parts are cheaply and readily available.

A small but important point is that whatever you buy is that it’s kept out of the wheather. A simple cover is a start but better that it’s under cover or wheeled into a shed. We have a “curb side collection” here for unwanted household good by council once yearly. The amount of sunburnt, rusted out bbq are staggering and I tend to think it’s true that the average bbq only last 2 years.

Yes I agree 100% with Cobbler's post, I too have had all the sizes of Weber Q's from the baby Q right up to the Q320 (now (3200) and yes the Q3200 was my favourite but when I had the middle one, the Q220, I once cooked up over 100 shish Kabobs for a friend's 50th Birthday party and it done a bloody good job.

So if you just need something cheap that will do a quick grill, you really need to look no further than the Weber Q series, they'll do the job and then some and as Cobberdave says, the warranty, service and product back-up is 2nd to none. You really only need the bigger Spirit and Genesis grills for larger cuts or larger groups. The Q3200 will feed an army.

This is a UK video but we have the rotisseries here as well as the US and as shown, you can also do Beercan chicken by using the rotisserie shield.

The Weber E310 looks pretty good. It’s basically the next up from a family Q.

2 burners to 3. 2100 mj up to 3000 mj still with the porcelain grill grates and of course the larger grilling space. A family Q in Aussie is $950 a rottissary to fit it is $180.

The E310 is $1099. Doesn’t need a special fitting just a rottissary bar and motor which are $30. Me I’d be pretty tempted to get the E310 if I didn’t have the family Q and a rottissary already.
